For those who've already used Ad-Aware, it should be clear that Lavasoft is a reliable company that brings out quality products. Their Firewall software doesn't deviate from the norm of excellence.

Very hard to take controll of the application, it wants to be all-automatic; which it does not do a very good job at. However, when you do get in controll it is the best firewall available today.

I've used other firewalls including AVG, McAffe, ZoneAlarm, and Norton. Lavasoft is my favorite so far. I have to agree with the last review "It seems most of the negative reviewers have never used lavasoft firewall, and just use something else". I'm no expert, but the Lavasoft interface is pretty straight forward, easy to use, and understand. It has advanced options for those who really know what they're doing. It doesn't slow down my computer at all. One of the things I really like about it is the ability to copy log text. Very useful in searching if you don't know what an entry is, or for posting logs for others to diagnose your problem. It also works well with Windows Vistax64! At this point I have nothing but praise for this firewall.

Excellent Firewall. I see nothing wrong it. It seems most of the negative reviewers have never used lavasoft firewall, and just use something else. But what is the point of writing a review if you have never used the product?

Lavasoft now has zero credibility. All of the software they make are memory pigs and slow.

I wouldn't recommend this. Business, OK. Home use, your better off with a program like comodo, or zone labs. This looks to cumbersome.

As for Lavasoft Personal Firewall, why purchase this when there are great free alternatives? Perhaps this would best be suited for business that are targeted by hackers but not home users. However I'm scoring this highly based on how well it performed in leak testing over other firewalls.
