There are many software firewalls on the market today. Each claims to protect you from intruders. After years with Z/A I had to go with PCTools until the conflict is cleared up. When it is, I'll switch back in a heartbeat.
Most of the time functions quietly and unobtrusively in the background, but it doesn't catch all of the spyware, not by any means, and somewhat worryingly, it allows some medium-level threats to get through. No better than any of the others I have tried, but no worse, either.

I used ZA for the first time i heard about through downloads.com I game up my Mcafee antivirus,spyware,firewall, ECT protection for ZA..I love it. I recommend ZA to everyone!
I have used ZA for over 6 years. It has been very stable. Since ver 8.02 came out, I cannot seem to shut my PC down, or even restart, without doing a hard boot. ZA is terrible for Customer Support. They make you pay to get human tech support.
Great Programme. ZoneAlarm Pro is light on resources, very easy to use and it offers a good protection. I would recommend it to everybody who is concerned with their PC's protection.

Well, I must admit that ZONE ALARM seem to be the best of all Internet Security "Police". It really gave me what I wanted and kept on blocking bugs and spywares that kept on changing my PC settings. In fine, thumb up sign
This is absolutely the best firewall I have used, except the slightly simple GUI. The features are many, and it protects me against spy sites very well, whereas the rest say so but don't do so. Recommended respectfully!
ZoneAlarm detects only one at my pc. Agnitum detects all. I make an new test in a few days und i upp a screenshot.

I liked the first ZoneAlarm Pro (years ago when my father had it on the older computer).
The icon started blinking every time an attacker would want to break into your computer, you would click on it and it would show you his/her location.
Now I’m using ZoneAlarm Security Suite, works just as great, but no blinking!

Interesting comments on Zone Alarm. I tried it years ago and was not happy with it at the time, but no doubt things have changed.
I was wondering: do you have any thoughts on
1) ZA in comparison to the built-in firewall features of Windows XP;
2) ZA in comparison to a combination of McAfee’s Enterprise 8i anti-virus with spyware option used along with Webroot’s Spysweeper; and
3) For a system running behind a router using NAT, does ZA add much more protection?
